Setting up your Full Fibre (FTTP) Router
Setting up your Full Fibre (FTTP) Router
Updated this week

๐Ÿ’ก This guide refers to the TP-Link VX230v router. Click here to view the set up guide for the Technicolor DGA0122 router.

Click here to see how to set up this router for a Part Fibre (SoGEA) connection.

First, check the contents in your box. Ensure that your router package includes all

necessary components:

  • The router

  • User guides

  • Micro filter

  • DSL cable (grey)

  • Ethernet cable

  • Power adaptor (black)

Once your Full Fibre (FTTP) has been installed/activated, you will receive confirmation by email or SMS. If it is not active, please contact Daisy on 03333 200 900 for activation.

You can now proceed to set up your hardware.

Plug in the router to a power source using the provided power adaptor.

Locate the Openreach ONT (this may vary depending on when it was installed).

๐Ÿ’ก The FTTP setup differs slightly to other connections, as it requires an Openreach ONT box, which must be installed by Openreach before setting up your router.

  1. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the WAN port on the router.

  2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to Port 1 on your Openreach box.

  3. As shown in the image below, the Power, PON, and Port 1 lights at the top should be green. Once they have turned green, the setup is complete.

Please wait three to five minutes. The router should now have five solid green lights.

You can now proceed to connect your devices.

โ—If the router lights are not solid green:

On the back of the router, press and hold the reset button.

Alternatively, remove the power from the router for 1 minute and then plug it back in.

If neither solutions work, please call our technical support team on 03333 200 999.
