Mobile alerts & autobars

Alerts and bars are a great way to limit the potential of over-usage and excess charges.

Alerts allow you to receive a warning once one of your numbers is reaching a predefined limit, e.g. 20GB of data used or £5 out of bundle spend. A text and/or email will be sent to one or more contacts, chosen by you, and you also have the option to notify the user of the phone number.

You can also choose to add a bar if the chosen limit is reached. This can be a data only bar, which will allow the user to continue to make calls and texts, or you can choose to bar all services.

Please note, alerts alone will not bar any services. If you wish for a bar to be put in place, you must select the Auto Bar option.

Alerts and autobars reset at the end of each billing period, usually the end of the month. You can also remove these at any time, however any charges incurred will be billed to you.

Alerts and autobars can easily be set up on our My Account Portal. Click here to see how.

We will use reasonable endeavours to apply the auto bar, as soon as we become aware that the mobile number has breached the usage alert threshold. However, in certain circumstances that are beyond our control, such as delays in call data being received from the network, overall charges may exceed the set limit and are still liable to be paid for under your terms & conditions.
